Grant Programs
Grant Programs
The Riverside Arts Council's grant programs enhance the cultural infastructure by providing stabalizing core support and resources for inclusive,
innovative programs that contribute to the socio-economic development of the community. As part of the City Arts and Cultural Grant, RAC re-grants $280,000 from the city's general fund each year to Riverside Cultural groups for core operating support. With proceeds from its annual fundraiser, the Mayor's Ball for the Arts, RAC grants $25,000 to local cultural and other non-profit groups for community projects to underserved communities as part of the Community Arts Partnership (CAP) Grant. Frequently referred to as the "the best party in Riverside," the Mayor's Ball is much more than just a party. Through
the CAP Grant, it directly impacts more than 50,000 people who might otherwise never be exposed to arts and culture.

Administration of the City of Riverside's City Arts and Cultural Grant
On behalf of the City of Riverside, the Riverside Arts Council administers
the City of Riverside Arts and Culture Grant in support of eligible non-profit arts and cultural organizations within our community. Through the years, it has evolved into its current competitive form, and from the mid-1990’s to 2007 it was known as the City Arts Grant program. In its effort to being an inclusive city, in 2007 the City Council changed the name to the City of Riverside Arts and Culture Grant Program.
