Meet many representatives of organizations and locations from the book, as well as fellow lovers of art, history, food, entertainment and recreation found in and around Riverside. Need some to-do's in 2017? This is the place to start. The event takes place in the Riverside Art Museum's atrium. There will be a short reading, book signing and copies of the book for sale. Look Who's Talking: Cheech Marin Riverside Art Museum Cheech is back in Riverside to talk about his new memoir. In Cheech Is Not My Real Name, Cheech candidly writes about being the wisecracking kid in south central Los Angeles, resisting the draft as a young adult, his chance meeting with Tommy Chong in Vancouver, and how he formed one of the most successful comedy acts of all time. Cheech will take you on an incredible journey with his famous storytelling. Premier ticket prices are $50 or $40 for museum members. General admission is $20.

The Plain Princess
California Baptist University The Plain Princess, presented by the theatre arts program at California Baptist University, is set to bring a beautiful transformation to the Wallace Theatre. Princess Esmeralda, having a dour expression and selfish disposition, appears quite plain to all who look upon her. The king and queen have turned to all manner of doctors and wizards in an effort to find a way to turn her plain visage to one of poise and beauty. At their wit's end, they send out a decree offering great riches to anyone who can transform their daughter. Dame Goodwit offers to take Esmeralda to her home, where, with the help of her five daughters, she transforms this plain princess into a royal beauty. General admission is $15. $10 for seniors, students and alumni.

Love - Group Art Exhibit G.O.P.A. - Gallery of Progressive Art Love is an exhibition that will commemorate the amazing talent and wonderful memories of a dear friend and artist, Arlyn Pillay and his mother, Lulu Pillay. La Sierra Chamber Recital Series
La Sierra University La Sierra University’s music department will present a chamber recital series featuring acclaimed classical artists Grace Park, violin, Jason Uyeyama, violin, Ben Ullery, viola, Franklin Shaw, viola, Robert deMaine, cello, and Ani Kalayjian, cello, in concert. Members of this group have played in high profile venues around the world as ensemble members, collaborators and soloists. They each perform with such notable organizations as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and others. Recital repertoire will include Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence and Johannes Brahms’ Sextet in G Major, Op. 36. Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 for seniors age 55 and over, $5 for students and educators, children age 7 and under are free.

Wizard of Oz Riverside Children's Theatre Riverside Children’s Theatre (RCT) is proud to present the beloved family musical adventure, Wizard of Oz. The wild adventure takes Dorothy Gale over the rainbow to the troubled Land of Oz and learns that no matter how far your journey takes you, there’s no place like home. The Riverside Children’s Theatre production of Wizard of Oz is directed by Margret Hogeland and produced by Janna Le Blanc. Musical direction is provided by Katie Waterland and the show is choreographed by Bethany Schultz. Tickets are $15 at the door or $12 through advance purchase.
