Charlie Chaplin's City Lights Friends of the Mission Inn The 1931 film tells the story of a dewey-eyed tramp who falls in love with a sightless flower girl and saves up money to restore her vision with the aid of a wealthy, erratic tippler. It includes what is probably the funniest boxing match ever staged. The 87 minute film will be accompanied by organist Bob Salisbury on the Inn's great Kimball pipe organ. Free popcorn, coffee and tea. Admission is $20 in advance, $25 at the door. The event is a fundraiser for Friends' projects to restore and repair art and artifacts at the historic hotel.
